Writing, Reading, and Study Skills

CARP offers writing, reading, and study skills tutoring across the curriculum. The WRSS Tutors do not limit tutoring to English courses, so students may seek writing support in any of their content courses. They can assist students at any stage of writing process, including breaking down a prompt, brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and editing. They can also assist students with reading strategies, such as annotating and synthesizing. Additionally, the WRSS Tutors can help students with a variety of college success skills such as note-taking, time management, self-care, oral presentations, resume and cover letter writing, applying to graduate school, and interviewing.

Please note that we are unable to tutor students with writing in any Technical & Professional Writing (TPW) Program courses because of the strict level of expertise required.
